A civic engagement website that makes local issues in Palm Beach County easy to understand, discuss and act upon.

Clear, concise and easy to understand information on local issues in Palm Beach County. Oh, and wit. Tons and tons of wit.
3. What is the vision of the site?
Our official Vision Statement is:
"To promote an informed, engaged Palm Beach County citizenry by ensuring that all citizens get the information they need to thrive in a democracy and act in their own best interest."
Which is a fancy way to say we want people to know about what is going on in their community, and for them to get involved in their community using the information they learn on YourPBC.org.
4. Who is the site written for?
Everyone in Palm Beach County! Well, it's probably geared more specifically for those who want to make a difference in the community by solving issues. As for specific writing style, we try our hardest to write our information so that people from different education levels can understand the issues. But don't blame us if you end up learning some new fancy words.
5. Who writes for the site?
Palm Beach County citizens -- community members of all shapes and sizes, including nonprofits, governments and your neighbor next door. We are a community engagement site and we accept any pertinent information on Palm Beach County issues. All of the information is subject to review and editing by our extremely talented YourPBC.org Editorial Staff.
6. Who started this site?
The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties started this site back in 2009 with a generous grant from the James S. and John L. Knight Foundation.
7. This is the greatest idea since the 8-Track! Where can I donate?
We're currently working out sponsorship levels on the site, but if you are a grant making entity or a private foundation, please email us @ contact@yourpbc.org with the subject of "Sponsorship" - please, serious inquiries only (otherwise we'd get all excited for nothing!)
