Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast, Inc. will be hosting a series of town hall meetings designed to bring awareness to sickle cell disease. The meetings will include the history of sickle cell disease, its symptoms, challenges of awareness and acceptance and statistics. The meetings are free and open to the public and will be held on: Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Church of God by Faith, 625 SW Avenue B, Belle Glade. Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Hurst Chapel AME Church, 1617 Silver Beach Road, Riviera Beach.
